CWA-AT&T Mobility: 2026 Orange Contract Tentative Agreement Summary

The CWA bargaining team has reached a Tentative Agreement (TA) for the 2026 Orange Contract. This agreement, which contains no concessions, provides significant improvements to wages, job security, and benefits.

Contract Duration and Immediate Gains

If ratified, the new contract will be effective immediately and remain in force until February 15, 2030.

Members also have an immediate financial incentive for swift action: a $1,000 ratification bonus will be paid if the contract is approved by May 22, 2026.

Wage Increases and Compensation

The TA secures a compounded 15.6% base wage increase over the four-year term.

General Wage Increase Schedule:

  • February 14, 2026: 5% (Retroactive)
  • February 21, 2027: 3.25%
  • February 20, 2028: 3.25%
  • February 18, 2029: 3.25%

Key Wage Highlights:

  • Breakout Raise: An additional 2% increase for PSC, PSC HYB, PSC WFH, BPSC, RSC, and Sr. In-Home Experts to compensate for past commission and incentive policy changes.
  • New Wage Maxes (2026):
    • Sr. In-Home Expert: Upgraded to $1,171.50.
    • Retail Sales Consultant (RSC): Upgraded to $1,068.00.
    • Premier Service Consultant (PSC/BPSC): Upgraded to $1,130.50.
  • Pay Protection: Employees currently over the top step of their wage table will remain pay-protected and receive their general wage increases as lump sums.

Improved Differentials and Stipends

The agreement addresses several daily and monthly costs for members:

  • On-Call Duty: Increased from $42 to $48 per day.
  • Multi-lingual Differential (Call Center): Increased from $6 to $8 per day (up to $40 weekly).
  • Work From Home Stipend: Monthly internet stipend increased from $55 to $65.

Job Security and Working Conditions

CWA has secured stronger language regarding job stability and daily responsibilities:

  • Call Center Call Share: AT&T has committed to increasing call flow levels to at least 12% through 2028, rising to 13% in 2029.
  • Surplus Protections: No involuntary surpluses will be declared if call flow levels fall below agreed targets, barring extraordinary economic circumstances.
  • RSC Protections: A new Letter of Agreement (LOA) clarifies that RSCs are not required to sell outside of retail stores, attend sales events, or make cold calls unless they volunteer.
  • PSC Job Guarantee: If a brick-and-mortar center closes, PSCs are guaranteed a Work From Home PSC position.
  • Severance: The severance payment cap has been raised to $21,000.

Healthcare and Benefits

The agreement maintains a fair cost-share and eliminates certain barriers to care:

  • Sick Days: No waiting period for sick days for employees with over one year of service.
  • Healthcare Tiers: The “New Hire” category has been eliminated.
  • Prescriptions: Maintained no deductible on prescriptions for Option 1 plans.
  • Commissions: Minimum annual commission increased to $12,000 for RSCs and $16,000 for Sr. In-Home Experts.

Next Steps: Review the full details and prepare to vote by the May 22nd deadline to secure your ratification bonus.
