The bargaining team is requesting that the membership keep the pressure on through its actions to help continue to move the table.

As the contract has expired, we’d like to update you on where we are currently at the table. Your bargaining team worked well into the morning past expiration and we’ve yet to come to an agreement on anything significant.

The 2020 to 2024 AT&T Wireline contract has officially expired. We have not extended the contract. We are currently working with NO contract in place. We need to utilize strike and picketing action and strategies to let AT&T know that CWA District 9 employees mean business.

As we approach expiration, your bargaining team has been putting in long hours to try and get this contract done before expiration; although it is a constant struggle to get any positive movement, we continue to fight with each and every one of you in mind. The company is digging in their heels on health care, scope of work, and sick time. The Company has said they won’t leave without moving work from the splicing tech (C&E and MST) to the Prem tech.

Members of CWA District 9 gathered in Sacramento, CA today to show solidarity as they fight for a fair contract. As a reminder, the current wireline contract between AT&T and CWA expires 1 week from today on April 8, 2024.

We regret the delay in providing you with a progress report, but honestly, the negotiations have hit significant roadblocks. Despite our dedicated efforts over the past week, your bargaining team has spent an exorbitant amount of time discussing the items at the table. We’ve made very little progress

the company pointed out that four years ago today, we reached a tentative agreement over seventeen days before expiration. Given the current pace and the multitude of outstanding items on the table, it is highly unlikely that we will reach an agreement before expiration. Please ensure that all necessary preparations are made by yourself and your Local.

Stand united with your union brothers and sisters as we continue our fight for a fair and just contract at AT&T and DirecTV.

The California Healthy Workplaces, Healthy Families Act (California Paid Sick Leave) has been amended to provide eligible employees with at least five days (40 hours) of paid sick leave

To that end, I am pleased to let you know that I, along with our Chief of Staff and members of the Executive Board who represent AT&T members, will be meeting with AT&T CEO John Stankey and other AT&T decision makers on December 4-5.
