Bargaining Update #2

December 5th 2025

At our first bargaining session, your bargaining committee presented several proposals to the company, and we were fully prepared to return to the table to receive their responses. Many of those proposals came directly from you, from the bargaining surveys you completed. Issues like union recognition, improved hours of work, overtime protections, paid holidays, vacation, health and safety, job security, and more were all driven by the priorities you identified.

We listened to you. The company did not.

Instead of returning to the table and addressing the concerns you raised, the company unilaterally canceled the bargaining sessions scheduled for December 4th and 5th. This was their opportunity to respond to your proposals, but they walked away. At the very same time, the company is actively challenging your certification and your right to unionize.

Rather than respect your voice and negotiate in good faith, they chose to delay. They chose avoidance. They decided not to listen to the workers who keep their business running.

Now more than ever, staying united is critical. You have demanded a better workplace, and you deserve one. We must be prepared to fight so your voices are heard, because when we fight, we win.

GOOD NEWS

The National Labor Relations Board has issued its findings on the pending unfair labor practice charge involving the termination of four employees. The Region has found merit to the allegations, including:

Unlawful terminations

Unlawful interrogation

Unlawfully broad handbook policies restricting employee rights

This is a significant step forward, and it reinforces what we already knew: your rights are protected, and the law is on your side.

In Unity,

Your Bargaining team.
