Constructive conversations were held on various issues this week, and we can report that we had more good discussions with the Company than we have had since the inception of bargaining.
The Orange Bargaining Committee and AT&T have been meeting continuously during this past week’s extension, yet we have not been able to reach a deal. Both parties have agreed to a two-week contract extension to continue bargaining.
The company continues to deny Union proposals intended to increase compensation and help their employees keep up with rising costs. In addition to rejecting our proposals, the company continues to try to shift the cost of medical benefits to you.
