Urgent Call to Action: Sign the Petition to Unwired CEO
Dear Unwired Members,
I am writing to you today with tremendous pride and urgency following your powerful vote to join CWA Local 9333. This vote is a clear and decisive statement that you deserve fair representation and a voice in your future.
Why Your Signature Matters Now
Our legal and organizing teams—from CWA National, CWA District 9, and CWA Local 9333—are currently working with our legal team to formally compel Unwired to recognize your choice of union representation.
However, the CEO needs to hear directly from you. The purpose of this petition is to demonstrate to the highest level of Unwired management the unanimous strength and collective resolve behind this vote. Each signature is a direct, personal statement affirming your decision and demanding that the company honor the democratic outcome of your election.
This is not just a formality; it is a critical step in building momentum. Your signature is a powerful tool to:
- Show Unwired’s leadership that the vote was not just an action by a few, but a commitment by the many.
- Maintain pressure as our legal teams work to secure your recognition.
- Solidify your unity as we prepare to move forward to the next steps of securing a strong contract.
Our Next Step
As your Local 9333 President, I am asking every member who voted for union representation to immediately sign the petition linked below.
We have voted. Now, we must collectively voice that decision to Unwired’s CEO and demonstrate that your union is here to stay.
Thank you for your commitment to this vital cause and for standing together.
In Unity,
Elaine Savaiki

Dear Mr. Murphy,
We, the undersigned unWired employees, voted on June 4, 2025 to be represented by the Communications Workers of America (CWA).[1] We exercised our right to organize for the simple fact that we care about our livelihoods, our safety, and our futures. As the CEO you are responsible for the unWired culture. As you complete your first year at the helm of this company[2], we would like to encourage you to seriously consider how you can be partners with us on developing a healthy and supportive culture that respects everyone’s voice, especially those of us who are on the frontlines developing relationships with unWired’s customers and deploying the company’s critical infrastructure.
We are asking that our vote be respected and that unWired recognize CWA as our duly elected representative. The sole charge that unWired filed against CWA has been dismissed by Region 32 of the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) as of September 16, 2025[3] and as of September 25, 2025, CWA has been certified as the representative by Region 32 of the NLRB.[4] It is time for us to move forward collaboratively. We remain committed to and excited about bringing fiber and other connectivity solutions to the Central Valley of California, an area of our state that has traditionally been underserved. We also remain committed to exercising our right to be represented by CWA. We see these commitments as complementary as we look to solidify our futures with unWired by investing in making these critical infrastructure jobs sustainable and long-term careers.
We welcome the opportunity to speak with you further about how we can build a strong partnership that is a win-win for all. Please reach out to Elaine Savaiki, President of
CWA Local 9333 at cwa09333@att.net or 209-631-9407 to speak with us directly.
