As AT&T courts their shareholders and board members and paints them a beautiful picture of how plans are actually proceeding, don’t let them turn around and tell our CWA District 9 bargaining team that they can not afford to give us decent raises to cover the cost of living

The results of the strike authorization vote are in, 92.57% of the Membership authorized President Cummings to call a strike pending Executive Board approval.

The company seems determined to maintain its entrenched position, insisting that any advancement must come at the expense of our hard-earned benefits.

The CWA District 9 Team met with AT&T today, and after weeks of bargaining medical coverage, a first agreement of significance has finally occurred.

The bargaining team is requesting that the membership keep the pressure on through its actions to help continue to move the table.

As the contract has expired, we’d like to update you on where we are currently at the table. Your bargaining team worked well into the morning past expiration and we’ve yet to come to an agreement on anything significant.

The 2020 to 2024 AT&T Wireline contract has officially expired. We have not extended the contract. We are currently working with NO contract in place. We need to utilize strike and picketing action and strategies to let AT&T know that CWA District 9 employees mean business.

After months of bargaining, the company flat-out refuses to provide a single item that is beneficial to you. They insist on the Union only accepting items that benefit the company. If we want to gain any minor item to improve your work or personal life they demand an unfair trade where they need to come out on top. They will not simply agree to a single proposal that would be beneficial to YOU.

As we approach expiration, your bargaining team has been putting in long hours to try and get this contract done before expiration; although it is a constant struggle to get any positive movement, we continue to fight with each and every one of you in mind. The company is digging in their heels on health care, scope of work, and sick time. The Company has said they won’t leave without moving work from the splicing tech (C&E and MST) to the Prem tech.
