AT&T West Bargaining Update #27

Dear brothers and sisters,

Our bargaining team has had numerous meetings with the company today, but unfortunately, we have not made any progress and are currently at a standstill.

The company has inferred that we will not receive retro pay as a matter of principle. Our concerns have been disregarded despite our emphasis on the need for increased wages, retro pay, and improved working conditions for premises technicians.

Furthermore, we have been informed that if an agreement is not reached by the end of business on Friday, 9/13, the medical benefits we have negotiated will not take effect, and the 2024 medical benefits will roll over.

Stay strong, brothers and sisters.

  1. So now that so much of CWA is on strike, WHAT ARE WE WAITING FOR? You are supposed to represent the workers NOT THE COMPANY! Cost of living has raised over 20% in the last 3 years and the rejected contract without the retro gives us just a 12% raise over the next 4 years with no other gains and in fact larger costs for the members not the company towards insurance and retirement! And the CWA actually expects the members be happy about paying more in Union Dues, where it s the leadership from the Union? It’s nonexistent!

  2. The media just announced that in just the last year the cost of living for a family has gone up $1000+ per month, that’s over $12,000 per year! I don’t see that kind of raise in this contract!!! Get It Together CWA!!
