Every three years, members of CWA Local 9333 have a critical opportunity to direct the future of our union. The upcoming elections for President, Vice President, Secretary-Treasurer, and Executive Board members are not just an exercise in bureaucracy—they are the foundation of our collective power.
Our union is only as strong as the participation of its members. Here is why taking a few minutes to cast your ballot is one of the most important things you will do this year.
The Power of Your Leadership
The individuals we elect to the Executive Board and top leadership positions will directly impact your daily working life. These leaders are responsible for:
- Enforcing and Bargaining Contracts: Driving the strategy behind wage increases, healthcare protections, and workplace safety.
- Grievance and Representation: Ensuring that when a member faces an unfair issue on the job, our stewards and reps have the backing and resources needed to fight back effectively.
- Union Strategy: Guiding how our local navigates a rapidly changing telecommunications landscape and stands up to anti-union tactics.
True Democracy Requires Action
A union is not a third-party service; it is a democracy built by its members. When voter turnout is low, a small minority decides the direction for everyone. High participation sends a clear message to employers that our membership is unified, engaged, and watching closely.
Whether you work in the public or private sector, your voice matters. Don’t sit this one out. Read up on the candidates, discuss the issues with your coworkers, and make sure your voice is heard when the ballots drop.

Nominations for the office of President, Executive Vice President, Secretary-Treasurer and Executive Board Members of Local 9333 shall be conducted at the membership meeting of CWA Local 9333 on September 22nd at 7 pm on Zoom.
If you wish to nominate yourself or someone else for office, please write a letter that says something similar to this:
I nominate myself (or enter name of another person you’d like to nominate), John Doe, for the office of President (or Vice President or Secretary-Treasurer) of CWA Local 9333.

Nominations must be received by September 18th, 2026.
Per our Bylaws Article 14 (XIV)
Section 4 part E Only members who have attended 3 membership meetings in the 12 months prior to nominations shall be considered eligible to run for office.
The nominations of a person for the office of President, Executive Vice President and Secretary-Treasurer shall also constitute the nominations of the same person as a delegate to CWA conventions held during the Term of Office for which the election is being conducted.
