What is a Union Steward?
A Union Steward is the backbone of our union on the shop floor. You are the first point of contact for your coworkers, helping to:
- Enforce our new contract and ensure the company respects our rights.
- Answer questions about the union, our contract, and workplace policies.
- Identify issues and concerns among the crew and bring them to the union’s attention.
- Represent members in meetings with management (e.g., investigatory interviews).
