Tips for Filling Out the Second Tentative Agreement Ballot

Ballots from District 9 are starting to make their way to member’s homes.

In order to make sure every member’s voice is heard, we would like to share some tips when filling out the ballot and sending it back to District 9.

  1. Your envelope from D9 will contain multiple pieces of paper. It will contain a copy of the final Bargaining Report (posted online here), your official ballot, your secret ballot envelope, and then the envelope to mail back to District 9.

2. Your official ballot has a front AND a back. Please make sure you read the instructions on the back of the ballot. These instructions read:

Communications Workers of America and AT&T
2024 CONTRACT RATIFICATION
BALLOT VOTING INSTRUCTIONS

  1. To be valid, ballots must be received in the CWA P.O. Box no later than 5:00 p.m. October 16, 2024.
  2. Mark your ballot after considering your vote carefully.
  3. Place the ballot in the envelope marked “Secret Ballot Envelope”
  4. Place the “Secret Ballot Envelope” in the prepaid return envelope.
  5. In order for the ballot to be counted, your name, address, and local number MUST BE PRINTED in the space provided on the reverse side of the prepaid envelope to verify membership.
  6. Also, to be counted, you MUST SIGN in the space provided on the reverse side of the prepaid envelope.

DO NOT WRITE ANYTHING ON THE BALLOT. ONLY MARK “YES” FOR A YES VOTE OR “NO” FOR A NO VOTE.

This is absolutely crucial if you want your vote to count. If you write down any type of comment or anything other than marking Yes or No, your ballot will be spoiled and thrown out.

3. After you vote Yes or vote No, fold your Official Ballot and put it in the SECRET BALLOT ENVELOPE.
4. Take the SECRET BALLOT ENVELOPE and place it in the “Business Reply Mail” envelope.
5. Turn over the “Business Reply Mail” envelope and print your Name, Address, City & State and Local Number. We are Local 9333. If you do not print your Name, Address, Local Number, your ballot will be spoiled and thrown out

6. Sign your name over “Member’s Signature”. If you do not sign your Name, your ballot will be spoiled and thrown out.
7. Place envelope in the mailbox and you are done. There is not postage necessary to mail back your ballot to District 9.

Thank you for voting and making your voice heard to District 9.
