May 13, 2024 Dear Members of CWA District 9, On behalf of the members of CWA Local 9400, I want to extend my sincere thanks to every one of you

CWA D9’s sponsored legislation SB 1460 (Durazo) has passed the Senate Labor Committee and is now in the Appropriations Committee.

Since the most recent update, there have been minimal developments at the bargaining table. However your team did observe positive movement last week, but unfortunately, it didn’t last long.

At this moment there is still fluent discussion and movement at the table. However, it is crucial that we remain prepared should the situation escalate. It is important for each of us to stay informed. The most accurate and up-to-date information will be communicated to you by your Local leadership.

Your bargaining team met over the past week in subcommittee meetings and has made minimal progress on proposals

The results of the strike authorization vote are in, 92.57% of the Membership authorized President Cummings to call a strike pending Executive Board approval.

The company seems determined to maintain its entrenched position, insisting that any advancement must come at the expense of our hard-earned benefits.

The CWA District 9 Team met with AT&T today, and after weeks of bargaining medical coverage, a first agreement of significance has finally occurred.
