To: AT&T employees who regularly perform work in California and their supervisors The California Healthy Workplaces, Healthy Families Act (California Paid Sick Leave) has been amended to provide eligible employees with at least five days (40 hours) of paid sick leave for: The diagnosis, care, or treatment of an existing health condition of an employee or an employee’s family member, including preventative care appointments; and An employee who is a victim of domestic violence, sexual assault, or stalking and needs time off to obtain legal relief to help ensure their health, safety, and welfare, or that of their child. |
What you need to know: Beginning January 1, 2024 Management and non-exempt non-union employees will be entitled to 40 hours of paid illness time for eligible absences without incurring discipline. Union-represented employees will be entitled to use all illness time allotted by their Collective Bargaining Agreement for eligible absences without incurring attendance points or discipline and will not be required to meet any wait day requirements. Eligibility: If you have worked in California for 30 days or more and have worked for AT&T for at least 90 days, you may be eligible to use this leave. The leave will run concurrently with your Company-provided paid time and/or contractual paid time. This leave may run concurrently with other federal, state, or municipal leave laws where applicable. . |
