If you hold stock in AT&T, you are a part owner for the company! As such, you have a right to vote at the stockholder meeting and help influence AT&T in the way the company is run.
Check your mail for a mailer from AT&T. It should look like this:
You will have a personalized 15 digit code beneath the QR code. On your computer or phone, go to https://www.investorvote.com/Login and enter that 15 digit code. Follow the instructions on the screen and you will eventually get to the voting options. You will notice four separate items that will need to be voted for.
